Age old customs continue to thrive silently in myriad ways. These customs and traditions are on grand display usually during religious festivals.

Dussehra

Dussehra the symbolic day of victory of good over evil is celebrated with a ‘shastra pujan’ where weapons are worshipped. The ceremony is followed by a grand rally procession which brings the men folk of the region out through the city streets.

Navratri

Navratri is a time of great festivity in Gujarat. Each one of the nine nights is an exuberant show of dance, music and colourful clothes in all its splendor.

Diwali

Diwali also followed by the Gujarati new year is a beautiful festival of lights. Traditional pujas, decorating the living spaces with Rangoli and diyas all end the night by bursting iridescent firecrackers.
